Amazing goal by Rosales to earn an away point (1-1)
Málaga CF came away with a draw against Deportivo Alavés thanks to a fantastic goal from Rosales in minute 85 after a great second half. Deyverson scored for the locals in minute 9.
It seems to be this season’s fate, the rival conceding an early goal, making the match an uphill struggle. It was a move by Deyverson, who overcame Llorente and Kameni to head the ball into the back of the net in minute 9. Bad luck for the Malaguistas so early on in the game.
Málaga arrived at this match with numerous casualties, so Juande presented a starting-11 with many new faces. The first was Mikel Villanueva, the Venezuelan defender debuted with the Malaguista first team, today wearing the ochre and black shirt.
To make matters worse, Diego Llorente sustained injury in a jump with Deyverson resulting in a bad fall. He was later substituted in minute 20 by Juanpi in an effort to rebuild the team.
The match entered an exchange of blows for both sides, with a couple of impressive saves by Kameni, and approaches by Juankar, Rosales and Chory. The Uruguayan also tried his luck just before the half-time whistle, but his shot was saved by the local keeper.
After half-time, Juande made some changes, and En-Nesyri joined the match to reinforce the attack. The team went all out in the second half, and had the best chance of the game thanks to Sandro, but he received the same response from the Alavés goalkeeper, repelling the shot that hit the post. In minute 62, it was Rosales who grazed the goal with a volley that hooked the side of the net.
The second half belonged to the Malaguistas, and if it had been a boxing match, the goal was about to come.
It was precisely the Malaguista winger who rendered Mendizorroza speechless, with an astonishing goal in minute 85. The long shot by Rosales entered into the top corner of the net, levelling up the scoreboard for Málaga in Vitoria, with the final result a 1-1 draw.
The Blue and Whites equalised at the tough Alavés ground, and return home with nine points in LaLiga Santander.
