Adriana Martín’s jersey on display at MCF Museum

The Malaguista striker placed her Blue and White jersey in the showcase dedicated to women’s football, in commemoration of her goal scored in under five seconds, which became the fastest in Spanish football.

Málaga CF Femenino striker and captain, Adriana Martín now has her shirt on display in the MCF Museum, for scoring the fastest goal in the history of Spanish football. The MCF Foundation, represented by Sebastián Fernández ‘Basti’ and Club historian, Domingo Muñoz, presented the team captain with a jersey bearing the number ‘5’, in honour of the five seconds it took to get the ball from the centre of the pitch and into the goal, during the match between the Malaguistas and CP San Miguel de Plasencia.

As such, Martín becomes part of the Club’s history and holds a privileged place in the showcase dedicated to women’s football in the Museum.

Statements by Adriana Martín

“Being part of the history of a Club like Málaga CF is anyone’s dream, not just for me, but because this is a recognition of all my teammates and Málaga Femenino. It’s been a dream season and I only have words of thanks for this Club. It’s been a 10 out of 10 year and I don’t believe any of us expected to achieve the success we’ve had so soon, and in the way in which we accomplished it. That said, I think we did an incredible job from day one. A new group, players with immense enthusiasm, and in the end, it was seen on the pitch that within the dressing room we were united, all for one, and the team’s hard work paid off. We fulfilled our dream of reaching the First Division and we’ll hopefully have many more successes in the Liga Iberdrola. We’re going to work hard and continue expanding this showcase”.
