En-Nesyri scores in Morocco’s victory against Estonia (1-3)

The Malaguista striker scored the North African side’s third goal in the final friendly for the Atlas Lions before the Russia World Cup.

Youssef En-Nesyri and the Morocco national squad continue their World Cup preparations, with the competition kicking off next week, and this afternoon took part in the final friendly before heading to Russia.

The last test for the North African team went exactly to plan. A 3-1 victory against Estonia and a goal from En-Nesyri. The Malaguista striker scored Morocco’s third goal (72’) after stepping on to the pitch at the start of the second half. He needed less than half an hour to score a goal. Beforehand, his teammates, Belhanda (11') and Ziyech (38') converted, with Purje (76’) netting a goal for Estonia before the final whistle.

The Morocco national team, who have accumulated 17 consecutive victories, face their first match in the Russia World Cup on Friday 15th June (17:00) against Iran. This will be En-Nesyri’s debut in the biggest international competition. As well as Iran, Morocco will face Spain and Portugal.
