Adrián: “We need to take the best care of ourselves in order to be available”

The Malaguista captain spoke to the Club media following this Tuesday’s training session. “The team are wholly committed, they’re in good shape”.

Long-awaited return

“I was so keen to get back. Not just to training, but also to see my teammates and the people working with us at the Club. It’s nice to have a change of scenery”.

Everyone has returned in good shape

“The team are wholly committed to the Club, they’re in good shape. Of course, training at home isn’t the same, even if you train at great intensity, to when you train here. However, it’s a good step forward and an advantage when starting this new preparation for the return of the competition”.

A ‘pre-season’ before the final stretch

“Yes, it will certainly be an unusual situation, like a new competition is getting underway. We need to prepare well, be aware that there will be a lot of games in a short space of time, and we need everyone. We need to take the best care of ourselves in order to be available to the coaching team and make the most of the final leg of the competition. For that we need good preparation now and above all be strict and meticulous with the protocol so we don’t lose anyone along the way”.

A goal without a celebratory hug? It won’t be easy.

“It will be really odd because the goal is the biggest expression in football. I can see that being complicated. We’ll be playing together on the field of play, but we won’t be able to hug our teammates for scoring a goal… if they book you for that everyone on the pitch will be sent off (laughs)”.
