Adrián: “I feel very at home here”

The second Malaguista captain was visibly delighted during the announcement of his contract extension: “I am fully involved with the Club and its objective”.

Wish fulfilled

“I’m very happy, it’s something we’ve been talking about since the beginning of the season. The truth is I’m thrilled to be able to remain here for a long time. I’ve already said on other occasions that my intention is to fulfil all the years of my contract and be here for many years. Hopefully that will be the case”.

Good sporting moment

“It’s a very good time for us, I believe everything is positive. The team is moving up, I’m playing, able to provide goals and it’s come at a very positive moment. Hopefully it will stay that way for a long time. We hope that on Sunday everything will continue to be as positive as it is now”.

Happy in Málaga

“I feel very positive, very at home here. I’m delighted with my teammates, with the people who work at the Club, who from day one, have been so wonderful to me. For me, these are the important things when it comes to making decisions. Of course, there is also the factor of my family, who are happy here, love living in Málaga and love everything around them. It’s a very happy time for us all”.

Staying for a long time

“I’m 30 years old, you start to see things differently, I think I’ve been very involved from the beginning and this decision, not only by the Club but also on my part, shows what I’ve been saying from the outset. I want to be here for many years, I am fully involved with the Club and its objective to try and continue to grow”.

Objective: match by match

“Obviously, I would like to return to the First Division with Málaga, this would be the best for everyone, but I’m 30 years old and I have to start thinking about other things and other things that fulfil me, one of which is being here in Málaga. I really wanted to come here before I signed. It’s always been a place that I liked, and I want to stay here for a long time to come, nothing short-term. There are many closer objectives we must try to achieve, one of which is Sunday’s crucial match. We’re already seeing that the fans want to welcome us, which we love. They’ve chosen the perfect day, we hope the people will be encouraged, get behind us, come and support the team and we can bring them joy”.

All for one

“The rival coming here is fighting for the top spots with us, the margin of points between us and them is minimal. Clearly it’s an important match. Fortunately, we’re playing at home, and I believe the fans are fired up and ready for what the players have always said: to be player number 12. When they’re playing their game, we really notice it and it is of utmost importance”.
