A number of absences mark Málaga’s return to work

Málaga CF, after two days off, returned to training this morning at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. The first part of the hour and a half’s session was mainly physically, and was followed with group rounds and matches on a reduced pitch.

The training was led, as will be the case for the rest of the week, by the deputy coach Rubén Cousillas, as Manuel Pellegrini is a way with the permission of the Club.  There are also another six members of the group away on international duty. They are: Eliseu, Demichelis, Mathijsen, Isco, Cazorla and Rondón.

Toulalan, Baptista and Van Nistelrooy, Edinho, and the injured Malagueño worked out in the gym.  Weligton carried out some specialist work with recuperation coach, Hugo Camereo; whilst Juanmi worked on his own alongside auxiliary coach, Enrique Ruiz.  Goalie, Pol, was the only member of the reserve squad present.  Antonio Fernández, the Club’s Sporting Director, also attended the week’s first training session.

Tomorrow, at 9.30 a.m, the team will train in a closed session at La Rosaleda.  At 11 a.m, they head by coach to Jaén to play at 8.30 p.m in the 31st annual ‘Olive Trophy.’
