Demichelis suffers a severe blow to the head in Argentina
The Málaga Club de Fútbol central defender, Martín Demichelis, has incurred a head injury today after colliding with a teammate during a training session with the Argentinean national squad.
The Málaga defender momentarily lost consciousness after the accident before he was then taken to hospital where medics carried out neurological tests, which came back completely clear, according to Argentina’s Medical Services in a report to Juan Carlos Pérez Frías, Málaga CF’s Head Doctor. That said, the player also underwent some additional tests to confirm that he’s in perfect health, and those results are still pending. Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Martín Demichelis and Salomón Rondón are called-up to play for their respective countries in the South American elimination rounds ahead of the Brazil 2014 World Cup. Now, both the Argentinean manager, Alejandro Sabell, and the Venezuela boss, César Frías, will count on the skills of Málaga’s central defender and one of the Club’s strikers. Demichelis’ Argentina will play Chile in Buenos Aires, and Rondon’s Venezuela in Quito against Ecuador on the 7th October. And on 11th October, in Puerto Santa Cruz, the two sides, and the two players, will face each other.
