A morning session in La Rosaleda with Monreal, Maresca and Baptista absent

Málaga CF trained this bank holiday Thursday between 10.30 a.m and 12.15 p.m at La Rosaleda stadium. It was an intense session with the ball as the main focus, and which included specific defence-attack moves and matches on a reduced pitch.

The team was divided in the following way: with yellow bids were Juanmi, Rosario, S. Sánchez, Recio, Demichelis, Weligton, Duda, Buonanotte, Camacho, Cazorla, Rondón and Joaquín; and without bibs were Eliseu, Kris, Gámez, Mathijsen, Isco, Portillo, Apoño, Toulalan, Seba, Van Nistelrooy, Edinho and Malagueño. With no reserves present, Willy and Rubén were between the goalposts.

There were three injury-based absences from the group: Baptista, who today was in Marbella to begin the six to eight recuperation period for the operation he underwent yesterday; Maresca, who remained in the gym working on treatments for the micro-tear in his right soleus that has forced him out of the forthcoming match against Osasuna; and Monreal, who is monitoring a right calf problem, althought it’s thought he will still be available to Pellegrini for Sunday’s match.

Tomorrow at 10.30 a.m, Málaga Club de Fútbol, will train at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
