A cold and rainy session opens an intense week containing two league matches

Málaga CF’s first team trained this morning at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. It was an intense, rain-filled session of an hour and a half in front of the Club’s president, Sheikh Al-Thani.

The team alternated between physical and ball work, with group rounds and a trial of set-pieces.  Those who took part in Saturday’s match against Real Madrid enjoyed a lighter session than the others.  The whole team, including reserve goalkeepr, Pol, trained normally, except for the Brazilian striker, Julio Baptista.  ‘The Beast’, as he’s known, was once again working on recovering from his injury in the gym, alongside Javi Malagueño.

Tomorrow at 10.30 a.m, Málaga CF will train in a closed session at La Rosaleda stadium.  After that, the list of called-up players for the league match against Rayo Vallecano is to be announced.
