Juande Ramos returns to Málaga CF

The prestigious coach returns to Málaga to take over the Blue and Whites’ project for the next three seasons.

Juan de la Cruz Ramos Cano ‘Juande Ramos’ (25/09/54) already knows how it feels to sit on the home bench at La Rosaleda.  It was in the 2003/04 season, when after a creditable campaign the team reached 10th place in LaLiga, with a standout 22 goals from Salva Ballesta, and a 5-1 win over Rijkaard’s FC Barcelona.  A season where the coach already coincided with a legendary player at the Club, Sergio Barbosa Valente ‘Duda’.

More than 10 years later, Juande Ramos returns to Málaga, with several European titles behind him, a stage at Real Madrid and a career that has led him to various leagues on the old continent.  A curriculum that places him, without doubt, amongst the top coaches of the last decade.

Juande Ramos returns to the Spanish League where he also coached teams in the First Division including Rayo Vallecano, Real Betis, RCD Espanyol, Sevilla FC – with whom he won the Copa del Rey, two UEFA Cups and the Spanish and European Supercups – and Real Madrid – where he achieved the league runner-up position.

An enviable career and a knowledge of the world of football, LaLiga, Málaga CF and the city, which makes him the perfect figurehead for the Blue and Whites’ bench.  An exciting coach who is ready to take on the present and future challenges of this Club, and the entire Malaguista family.  Welcome back to Málaga Juande!
