The Malaguista captain said a few words on the pitch at La Rosaleda after winning three points against FC Cartagena. “There are no words for the welcome we received, it was impossible not to win today,” he said.
Alberto Escassi, Málaga CF captain, spoke to the MCFTV cameras just after the Blue and Whites' victory against FC Cartagena at La Rosaleda.
“It was an incredible, much-needed, united victory,” he started by saying, before going on to recognise Malaguismo's support: “We can’t thank the fans enough, it's crazy. There are no words for the welcome we received, it was impossible not to win today with our fans and we dedicate this especially to them.”
Along the same line he went on to say: “There is total union between the team and the fans, you can see it on the pitch and it's amazing. That's the image from today.”
Málaga CF managed to accumulate two consecutive wins for the first time this season. “The team has been playing very good games lately and this is the line to follow. Due to necessity, we have to score three points each time. Now we are focused on going to Lugo and winning the three points no matter what,” he said.
Escassi assured that the team will maintain the attitude we’ve seen in recent weeks: “We are not going to throw in the towel, we’re going to give our all every day in each game and in each training session.” Finally, he echoed his recognition of the Malaguistas: “Thank you to all the fans. It’s incredible that, in the situation we are in, they are with us to the death and that is something to be admired.”
