Zaragoza - Málaga CF preview

Málaga Club de Fútbol will be seeking its fourth consecutive win of the season, and to remain in Champions League positions, when it takes on Real Zaragoza in La Romareda stadium tomorrow at 10 p.m.

The Blues and Whites will travel to Zaragoza having Jesús Gámez out with an injury.  Replacing him is Sergio Sánchez who has not played wearing the Málaga strip in an official match throughout the summer.  Camacho is the only novelty in the squad which is confident of securing its second away win of the season and of maintaining its top three position in the First Division.

Javier Aguirre’s Zaragoza has four points after playing four matches, making them fourteenth on the league table.  They’ve conceded 11 goals, making them the most the most thrashed side in the league.  On the positive side there are the doubles scored by two of the new signings, Luis García and Juan Carlos, who, along with Lafita, are the most dangerous attack players within the home side.

When it comes to goal-scoring statistics amongst those who are playing in the match there’s only one name: Van Nistlerooy, who has scored on five occasions in four games against Zaragoza.  In eight visits to Aragon’s provincial city since it has been in the First Division as Málaga CF, the team has won twice, with the ‘malaguistas’, scoring five goals in under 35 minutes in the previous  in the last match, leaving the scoring on 5-3.

The Zaragoza-Málaga will be an interesting match that will hopefully certify that Manuel Pellegrini team’s bullish trend is set to continue, allowing them to be ever more comfortable in the top end of the league.
