Young La Academia teams taking part in Easter tournaments

The 7-a-side teams within Málaga CF’s youth academy are participating in eight tournaments over the Easter holidays.

II CD VERA YOUTH FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT – from 15th to 17th April
Beginning today, until Thursday, the ‘Alevines’ from 2002 and 2004 ‘Benjamínes’ are taking part in this tournament in Vera (Almería).  The boys will come up against Atlético de Madrid, CD Vera, Real Betis and a team from Murcia.  The boys are doing well so far, with a double victory over Atlético de Madrid; the ‘Benjamínes’ by 6-2 and the ‘Alevines’ by 2-0.

Group stage match timetable:
15/04/14 – 4:45 p.m. – Málaga CF – CD Vera
15/04/14 – 7:45 p.m. – Málaga CF – Murcia team
16/04/14 – 1 p.m. – Málaga CF – Real Betis
 
 
IV EMILIO JURADO EASTER TOURNAMENT – 17th April
Málaga’s ‘Prebenjamín’ side is competing in this tournament, organised by CD Tiro Pichón.  In group 2, the ‘Malaguistas’ will face Ciudad de Granada, CD Lauro and CD Fútbol Romeral, hoping for a place in the afternoon’s final stage.
 
II “CIUDAD DE MORÓN” YOUTH FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT – 17th April
The ‘Alevines’ from 2002 and the ‘Benjamínes’ from 2005 are participating in this competition taking place over a day.  The group stage kicks off in the morning, and the final stage in the afternoon.  The ‘Alevines’ will face Córdoba CF (10 a.m.) and Ciudad de Granada (11:20 a.m.), whilst the ‘Benjamínes’ will play Sevilla FC (12 p.m.) and Córdoba CF (1:20 p.m.)
 
DOS HERMANAS SAN ANDRÉS EASTER TOURNAMENT – 18th April
The youngest team within La Academia, the ‘Prebenjamíns’, are involved in this tournament in El Duende, organised by the Dos Hermanas San Andrés.  Cristian Galiana and Carlos Ramírez’s boys are up against Puerto de la Torre (10 a.m.) and Santa Rosalia (12 p.m.), hoping for a place in the final stage of the competition in the afternoon.
 
I ALEVIN GANDIA SOCCER CUP TOURNAMENT – from 18th to 19th April
A first year ‘Alevin’ side is travelling to Gandía (Alicante) to take part in this new tournament, which is two competitions in one.  On Friday, Málaga’s ‘Alevines’, in group C, will play Massanasa (10 a.m.), Xátiva CF (11 a.m.) and At. Llirria (1 p.m.), to hopefully reach the final in the afternoon.  On Saturday, Antonio Cazalla and Rubén Castillo’s boys, in group B, will face Masamagrell (10 a.m.), Móstoles (11 a.m.) and Ondarense (1 p.m.) with the aim of getting to the afternoon final.
 
V 8-A-SIDE EASTER FOOTBALL TOURNMENT– 19th April
The ‘Benjamínes’ from 2005 are heading to Cartagena for this day-long tournament.  The boys will play Elche CF (9:30 a.m.), SC Cartagena (10:30 a.m.), Southampton (12 p.m.) and Cartagena A (1:30 p.m.) throughout the morning, for a place in the afternoon’s final stage.
 
VII CIUDAD DE MURCIA 8-A-SIDE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT – from 19th to 20th April
Following the previous tournament in Vera, the 2002 ‘Alevines’ are travelling to Murcia.  On Saturday 19th the boys are up against Beniajan CF (11:45 a.m.), Granada CF (2:45 p.m.) and Progresso B (5:45 p.m.) in the group stage.  The final part of the competition kicks off on Sunday 20th April.
 
VI ALEVIN DE FORMENTERA INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT – from 19th to 20th April
The ‘Alevines’ from 2002 are going to Formentera for this competition.  The group stage takes place on Saturday, with the boys’ rivals being Valencia CF (10:50 a.m.), SD Formentera (4:50 p.m.) and Girona FC (8:10 p.m.)  The first two teams from each group will take part in the semi-finals on Sunday morning, hoping for a place in the grand final on Sunday afternoon.
