Willy Caballero: “We intend to go out and get the points that we’re missing as visitors”
The Malaguista goalkeeper, Willy Caballero, spoke to the media this Tuesday morning in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium press room.
Willy’s statements:
MCF-Zaragoza “It was an important win as the home side, so let’s see if we can do the same as the visitors. Happy for the triumph, for the goals that we scored, and the overwhelming win; now we intend to go out and get the points that we’re missing as visitors against a rival who are hard to beat as the home side. They made it an uphill struggle, but we were fortunate to score the second goal of the first half and we then got into the swing of things in the second half. Then, with the 2-1, we were more certain and they faltered a little.”
International Malaguistas “It’s a strange week because there are international matches and we’re playing on Saturday. There are many teammates who are out playing with their national sides, we’re used to them going and there are some good youth players to cover them during the week; we hope that none of them get injured and that they’re all in impeccable condition for the forthcoming match. Spain at La Rosaleda? It’s a real treat for all our players that they’re coming here and indeed for all the people of Andalucía to see their national side and hopefully it’ll be a great game.”
Winning away “We’re looking forward to the match, but we know that we have to continue correcting things. We have to be 100 per cent in every game; we have this unusual week but we have to work on that. We’ve got to be the same team whether playing at home or away. Winning at home or away gives you a lot of chances, there are many obstacles and team fighting for the same thing. Doing the homework not only moves you up, it moves you towards the objective, because all teams are letting points escape them.”
Next rival, Getafe “I know the manager as I had him at Elche and I know how he approaches matches. I’ve also heard the players have been following how we’ve been winning. They’re going to come out to squeeze us and we have to pay attention because their going to be a team that puts the pressure on and plays well.”
