Weligton: “We’ve got everything to carry on growing”

The Brazilian defender, Weligton, was the Málaga player who spoke to the media this Thursday morning in the Ciudad de Málaga press room.

Weligton’s statements:

(Game against Xerez). “Well, I’m happy, I wasn't expecting to return after injuring myself but I’ve recovered well and yesterday I was really pleased.  The intention of the coaching staff was to give minutes to those players who play less and for the youth players to join in.    My idea is to go little by little, we have to be intelligent, the 45 minutes that I played were good, and I’m available to the boss.  It’s been the most difficult season due to injuries, first the surgery, then the ankle fracture, I wasn’t expecting that, and I hope that it’s now all in the past.  Now I have to get in shape and be 100 per cent.”

(Proyect).  “We have a lot of quality, a good manager, good players and everything to carry on growing.  The changing room has the brains to pull it off.  We’re becoming dynamic and we hope to maintain it until the next break.  With the arrival of the signings the fans have gone crazy, the media too, speaking about Champions and UEFA, but things are as easy as that, there are many new players who are still assimilating.”

(Anoeta) “If we go in with the idea that the three points are already won, we’re fooling ourselves, they need the points and we need to go in with the same desire as them. Toulalan? Justice has been served, the second yellow was unfair.  He’s important; he’s the lung of the group.”

(Blue and Whites future).  “We’re waiting to be able to speak, we have things on track and I would like to continue with Málaga.  I hope so.  The boss believes in me and I’m  happy at the Club.”

(Difficult moments). “You lean on family, on friends, and I don’t hang my head.  I’ve suffered in previous years with my family on the pitch, this (injury) is nothing”.
