The ‘Malaguista’ defender comments: “Looking at the season as a whole, we’ve had our ups and downs, in which matches turn out well and others when it goes badly wrong. Conceding an early goal really affected us, as the rival didn’t want to play the game which impeded us creating many scoring opportunities. Roque came close to a goal in the first half, and I think if we had scored the entire rhythm of the match would have been different.”
After facing his former team, Caballero is now focused on next weekend’s match: “We’ve got an excellent match coming up in a great stadium against the current League leaders, and we need to do there what we failed to do here tonight. We need to forget about helping other teams out. I only focus on Málaga and am only interested in performing well for my team and nothing more.”
