Josep Clotet’s boys were completely focused on the match, having to adapt to the poor conditions of the pitch due to the heavy rain last week.  The ‘Malaguistas’ put on an impressive defence display, and took advantage of numerous goal opportunities, with Samu and Emilio upfront.  The visitors remained calm, and maintained their determination to score.
 
During the second half, Atlético Malagueño were much more dangerous on the counter-attack, with Emilio putting the Blue and Whites 1-0 up on the score board with a penalty.  The rhythm of the match didn’t really alter, despite the goal, though Linares continued in their search for an equaliser.  Clotet’s boys upped their attack, and a second goal by Óscar sealed their victory by 0-2.
