On Sunday 23rd January, Antonio Benítez passed away. With his memory as a true Malaguista legend, who lived for and with the Martiricos Club, the Malaguista Family will bid him a final farewell. La Rosaleda, the stage where he stepped on 222 occasions as a player, and where he led 380 games as coach of CD Málaga and Málaga CF, will observe a minute’s silence in his memory.
Unfortunately, the Blue and White entity will also remember Alfonso Queipo de Llano, who passed away on Sunday 30th January. The CD Málaga basketball team, that used to play in the stadium's current parking area, will never forget the transcendental role that Alfonso played in its history, as conveyed in ‘Gigantes del baloncesto malagueño’, a project in which the man from Torremolinos worked hand in hand with the MCF Foundation.
Málaga sport will miss you. Rest in peace, legends.
