“I try to ensure that both the coaching team and players go hand in hand”, said coach, Marcelo Romero in this morning’s press conference. An objective reflected in the first trip of the year, with a list of 23 players called-up and all the coaching staff travelling to Vigo.
A line-up that also includes injured players; Charles, Keko and Weligton, the latter who after making the gesture to give up his place, his presence is even more significant for his teammates.
There is also institutional representation on this trip, with vice president, Nasser Al Thani and adviser, Nayef Al Thani heading up the expedition. Sports director, Francesc Arnau is also accompanying the group, during the debut of Marcelo Romero as first team coach.
The group is now at Pazo Los Escudos hotel, where they’ll remain until hours before the match against Celta de Vigo (Sunday 8th, 18:30).
