Operational strategy took centre stage on the eve of #MálagaRealOviedo, corresponding to the second round of the Copa del Rey. Training took place between the Annexe and La Rosaleda.
The team started out by working in two groups. The first group included the starting players at the Carlos Belmonte – with the exception of Dani Barrio, who was with the rest of the team carrying out exercises involving crosses and shots at goal. The second part of the session, focused on operational strategy, was held at the location of tomorrow’s match, La Rosaleda Stadium.
Chavarría, Jozabed and Hicham returned to training for part of the session, whilst Matos was the only one who worked outside the group in the gym.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 6th January, Three Kings’ Day, the entire team has been called-up to La Rosaleda ahead of #MálagaRealOviedo at 21:00, with the squad list not announced until the team sheet is published.
