The Malaguistas took part in a training match this morning against Waasland-Sportkring at La Rosaleda (0-1). Hoggas (60’) scored the only goal of the game from the 11-metre mark.
Due to the break in LaLiga SmartBank competition this weekend, the team underwent a slightly different session today than usual. Málaga CF welcomed Belgian outfit Waasland-Sportkring to La Rosaleda to take part in a training match in a week without official commitments.
José Alberto selected the following starting-11: Dani Barrio; Ismael, Moussa, Lombán, Cufré; Ismael G. M.; Jairo, Jozabed, Febas, Antoñín; S. Gassama. There were no clear occasions during the first 45 minutes, but with alternatives for both sides. However, the score remained at 0-0 at half-time.
In the second half, Moussa, Jairo and S. Gassama made way for M. Peybernes, Kevin and Roberto. Despite an even match, a penalty was awarded to the visitors an hour into the game, converted by Kevin Hoggas. At that point, further changes were made to the 11: Dani Barrio; Víctor G., Escassi, M. Peybernes, Javi Jiménez; Paulino, Ismael G. M., Ramón, Kevin; Brandon and Roberto.
The team didn’t manage to convert any of their goal opportunities in the second half, and the final result was 0-1. The lads will rest this weekend and return to training on Monday 17th focused on #MálagaIbiza, taking place at La Rosaleda on Saturday 22nd.
