Training at La Rosaleda ahead of the match in Ibiza

The team was in training this Saturday morning at La Rosaleda Stadium for an hour, finalising preparations for tomorrow’s Cup debut in Santa Eulalia against Peña Deportiva.

Physical activation, rounds in groups, technical-tactical work with the ball and strategy work was the focus for the 23 players in training under Pepe Mel’s orders.

Goalkeepers Manolo Reina, Yáñez and reserve team keeper Carlos López took part in normal training, plus 20 others including homegrown players Loren, Andrés Caro, Dani Lorenzo, Cristian and Haitam at full pace.

Luis Muñoz (sprained left ankle) underwent recovery treatment and Javi Jiménez (viral infection) is resting at home. As they’ve done throughout the week, Escassi, Fran Villalba and Álex Gallar continued with their individual specific training, not being in the game tomorrow due to the conditions of the rival's – artificial – pitch in the Copa del Rey. The three players are expected to return to the group at the beginning of next week.

Murillo, Moussa, Víctor Olmo and Adrián (not registered) continued with their respective recovery processes outside the team.

The called-up Blue and White players will leave for Ibiza today, with a stopover in Barcelona. Peña Deportiva-Málaga will kick-off tomorrow, Sunday at 12:00, corresponding to the first round of the Copa de S.M. El Rey.
