Málaga CF will have a mascot in 2022! La Rosaleda and the fans will watch the Malaguista Family grow! But which one shall we get? As we said earlier, we’ll all decide together.
The Club has decided to make a number of changes following requests from fans, who have asked for more time to work on their designs and take part. As such, the only change in regard to the initial announcement relates to the dates. The phases are as follows:
Phase 1
A competition will be launched to submit the proposal for the Malaguista mascot, running until 27 December. In order to take part, send your design to marketing@malagacf.es in JPG, PNG or PDF format, along with the signed and scanned document confirming the transfer of intellectual property and copyright and commercial exploitation to MCF (download here). In the email subject, put the name of the mascot as well as the full name of the creator. Example: MALAGUISTA | Name and surname.
Phase 2
Then it will be time for the voting. From 27 December until 3 January, via the website, you can choose between ten designs selected by the judging panel (made up of members of the Club yet to be confirmed). Only one of them will go through to the final phase.
Phase 3
The final phase will be held between 4-5 January. The design with the most votes (phase 2) will compete with another two, which will be selected by the Club. The judging panel will choose one of the three final options to be the official Málaga CF mascot, and will be announced on 6 January.
Our new mascot will be with us forever. The Malaguista Family will grow in 2022, and we can’t wait to see your designs! Take part and vote, Malaguistas.
