The team prepares for the duel with Nàstic at the stadium
Málaga Club de Fútbol returned to training at La Rosaleda stadium this morning. The final preparatory session before travelling to Tarragona this afternoon for tomorrow’s Cup clash with Nàstic.
Pepe Mel’s men stepped on to the main Martiricos pitch at 10:30 this morning. Physical activation and technical-tactical work with the ball took precedence today at the Blue and White stadium.
A total of 24 players were under the coach’s orders this morning, including homegrown players Carlos López, Andrés Caro, Dani Lorenzo, Issa Fomba, Juanmita and Loren. Outside the group, Esteban Burgos (fit) underwent less intense training.
Like yesterday, Pablo Chavarría and left-backs Javi Jiménez and Lumor are resting due to a viral infection. Cristian underwent solo continuous running, whilst Moussa, Víctor Olmo and Adrián (not registered) carried out specific treatment in the gym. Haitam will finally undergo surgery (torn cruciate ligament to the left knee) on Friday in Granada by Doctor José Luis Alguacil.
This afternoon at 18:30, the called-up Malaguistas will depart La Rosaleda for Tarragona. Tomorrow, Thursday at 21:00, Nàstic-Málaga will kick off, corresponding to the second knockout round of the Copa del Rey.
