The team continues preparations at La Rosaleda’s annexe

Málaga were in training this Thursday morning at the annexe ground to La Rosaleda stadium. The third session of the week saw the return of homegrown player, Kuki, following his time with Spain’s under-19s.

The Malaguistas alternated between diverse physical exercises and work using the ball, with 20 players available to the coach, six of whom were homegrown players: goalkeepers; Aarón and Samu Casado; defender, Luis Muñoz; winger, Javi Ontiveros; and strikers, En-Nesyri and Kuki Zalazar, the latter who returned to training today.

Separately from the group, Koné (Achilles enthesopathy – right leg) underwent a more specific training session than his teammates.  Recio, Llorente and Miguel Torres focused on a particular workout on the pitch, under the instruction of fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero.

In addition, Kuzmanovic, Weligton, Charles and Keko remained in the stadium’s interior galleries to undergo recovery treatment.  In the case of the Madrid-born winger, due to the development of his injury (soleus muscle injury – right leg), even though he was scheduled to start continuous running this week, his incorporation into training on the pitch was put back.

Tomorrow, Friday from 10:30, MCF will resume training at La Rosaleda’s facilities.  At midday, Juande Ramos will hold a press conference and announce the team line-up for #AtletiMálaga.
