As on previous occasions, this latest karting event for the members of the Málaga CF business club was a real success. As well as strengthening ties between members, everyone experienced a morning of speed, adrenaline and fun at the KartCenter in Campillos.
The Blue and White expedition left La Rosaleda for Campillos on the official Málaga CF bus. The Club was represented by José María Muñoz, judicial administrator; Carlos Arias, director of the Business and General Services Department; Ana Vera, director of Institutional Relations; Lucas Rodríguez, MCF Foundation coordinator; and Sebastián Fernández ‘Basti’, member of the MCF Foundation’s Social Department.
Once in Campillos, the morning kicked off with breakfast. Then, thanks to the collaboration of Garum Motor Málaga, the former driver and motor journalist, Carlos Sedano, gave an instructive talk on electric cars, European regulations and trends in the sector in the coming years. In addition to the talk, Garum organised a raffle for a weekend with the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The winner, like the rest of the MBC members, was able to test three models of this magnificent electric car.
Subsequently, the day was structured in two phases and in two random groups. Both groups completed a first phase made up of the first 10 minutes of getting to know the circuit and another 10 minutes for qualifying. Once this phase was finished, the groups were restructured according to the times obtained. The 16 participants with the fastest times competed first, while the other 16 competed afterwards.
It was all about speed, competitiveness, adrenaline and fun at KartCenter. Following the race, the guests enjoyed lunch featuring a variety of exquisite starters and a paella, to bring an end to a wonderful day in Campillos.
Sergio Rosas, sales director at Docunova, spoke to MCFTV about how the day had gone: “We broke the usual routine and we strengthened relationships with colleagues, clients and the clients of other colleagues. It was an adrenaline-fuelled activity, we had a great time,” said the member of the Málaga Business Club.
As well as feeling like Fernando Alonso or Carlos Sáinz, The MBC members enjoyed great weather, which helped to make the event a success. The MBC is a more united and committed Malaguista Family than ever. Next week they’re flying to Las Palmas to support the team at Estadio de Gran Canaria. The fun continues during this final stretch of the season. What a great day we had!
