This year the Cervantes Theatre will not turn Blue and White. A wonderful time during which the stalls of the great Málaga theatre are adorned in the Málaga Club de Fútbol colours, a magical fusion between two great passions of our city.
However, this doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the Carnival in 2021, far from it. MCF, via its Foundation, is working alongside the Fundación Ciudadana del Carnaval de Málaga so that the great voices of our city are heard and the people of Málaga can dress up in celebration.
As such, the Club is taking part in two initiatives:
Blue and White Carnival
All Malaguistas who upload a photo to Twitter or Instagram Stories featuring an official Malaguista element and a carnival theme will have the chance to win a ticket for COAC 2022 and an official Blue and White jersey for the 20/21 season. The competition gets underway on 3rd February and ends on the 6th. Those taking part must tag in the @MalagaCF and @CarnavalMLG accounts and use the hashtag #CarnavalBlanquiazul. The judges, who will assess the originality of the photo, will announce the winner on 7th February.
In addition, all those who take part correctly will be entered into a prize draw to win a pack of MCF merchandise.
‘Pasodoble’ to show the Malaguista Feeling
Participants who dedicate a ‘pasodoble’ highlighting the values and/or feelings of Málaga CF will compete for this title. For the correct registration, please send the following documentation by email to coplamalaguista@carnavaldemalaga.es: Full names of those taking part and the artists, photocopy of DNI/ID (minimum two per group, maximum of four, as permitted by government), and telephone contact number.
The deadline for receiving the pieces is between 8th - 25th February. They must be accompanied by a Spanish guitar, the use of additional musical instruments is allowed. The winning composition will be announced during the weekend of 26-27th February.
