Manolo at 40!

One of ours. Manolo Gaspar is celebrating his birthday today and does so at the helm of the Club’s sports management, full of humility and ambition. Happy Birthday!

Manuel Gaspar Haro was born in the Málaga neighbourhood of El Palo in 1981. He soon stood out in the youth ranks and arrived at Málaga CF to make history with the reserve team. The lads played in the Second Division for three years with a generation of fantastic players who made a career in the elite. After a spell with Almería and Levante, Manolo returned to the club he loves, fulfilling his dream of playing in the First Division as a Blue and White.

With his local side, El Palo he played his last games as a footballer and went on to join MCF as a scout. His professional growth, thanks to a great deal of hard work, saw him move up from technical secretary to head of sports management during a difficult time recently, plagued with obstacles both financially and in terms of sport.

La Cueva, along with his inseparable Capote and Martín Viberti, is one of the places where Manolo makes the Club bigger every day. Hours and hours of work behind the scenes, putting the interests of Málaga CF above all else. With a sense of belonging, responsibility and with the focus on the sole objective of the sports management he heads up: to grow.

His best work is possibly yet to come. However, the magician Gaspar doesn’t face an easy task after literally forming a new team last summer. Setting the bar high to make a better Málaga with a great future, as evidenced by the ongoing renewals of promising homegrown players with him at the helm of the ship.

Manolo is celebrating his 40th birthday today! Many happy returns boss!
