The Blue and Whites’ midfielder was named the best player of the Carranza Cup. He was in the starting line-up in both games, and gave three assists.
Juanpi Añor had a great weekend on the pitch at the Ramón de Carranza. The midfielder gave a 10 out of 10 performance, wearing the number ‘10’ shirt, and was a key player in Málaga CF’s victories and subsequent Cup win.
The Malaguista midfielder gave three assists in the six goals scored by the Blue and Whites, all in the first match. He was the only player to be part of both starting-11s, against Nigeria All Stars and Cádiz CF.
At the end of the match he appeared in the mixed zone, showing his delight to the media: “It always helps receiving an award like this, particularly in this tournament, which is legendary here in Spain.”
