Málaga CF has been taking part in the Copa del Rey Juvenil uninterrupted since the 2011/12 season. This time around, the team is seeking a place in the quarter-finals against Valencia CF. The first leg of the round of 16 is taking place on Sunday at 12:00 at Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna.
Also, this season marks the first time two teams from Málaga are participating in the Copa del Rey Juvenil at the same time. CD San Félix, who drew in the first leg of the round of 16 away to Atlético Madrileño (1-1) joins UD Fuengirola as the other Málaga team taking part in Copa del Rey Juvenil games.
