The internationals return home

Mikel, Peñaranda, En-Nesyri and Harper’s international commitments have come to an end, and they re-join the Malaguista discipline.

Mikel and Peñaranda | Venezuela

Mikel Villanueva was again included in the starting line-up for the qualifying match with his country. Venezuela faced Chile last night in the (CONMEBOL) qualifiers for the 2018 Russia World Cup, in which they lost to the reigning South American champions by 3-1. The Malaguista defender played for 90 minutes, sharing the pitch with his teammate, Adalberto Peñaranda. The striker joined play in minute 68, substituting Darwin Machís. Last Sunday, Peñaranda took part in a friendly with Venezuela’s under-20s against Chile’s under-20s, assisting in the only goal of the match (1-0, Soteldo).

En-Nesyri | Morocco

Youssef En-Nesyri was part of Morocco’s starting-11 in the victory against Tunisia (1-0) in last night’s friendly. The Malaguista striker was substituted in minute 60 after sustaining a blow. The forward returns to the city on Wednesday, and the Club’s medical services will verify the physical condition of the Moroccan-born striker.

Harper | Scotland’s under-21s

Jack Harper and the under-21s secured a goalless draw against Estonia. The Malaguista didn’t take part in the match.
