The four Málaga CF Femenino captains

Ruth, Encarni, Clo and Buceta, in that order, will wear the captain’s armband during the 2020/21 season.

Within a dressing room, the balance between experience and youth is highly important, and Málaga CF Femenino have both. The team’s four captains, in themselves, are the perfect mix of these two decisive elements.

Ruth is from the 2000 generation. She still hasn’t reached 20 years of age, but has been competing in the elite with the Blue and White first team for over four years. Malagueña and Malaguista, the young central defender is a regular in the team.

Encarni is full of Malaguista passion and heart. Also from Málaga, Villanueva del Rosario to be precise, she has worn the Blue and White jersey with the first team since 2015 when she was just 18. Her dedication and professionalism have earned her the affection of the fans, the respect of her teammates and the second captain’s armband.

Clo and Buceta, both from Pontevedra, will be the third and fourth captains, respectively. The players arrived in the 19/20 campaign and were key during a season of transition and adaptation to the category. Their great performance and commitment meant they adapted beautifully within the Blue and White dressing room. Both Clo and Buceta were more than willing to renew to be part of MCFF’s new project and, despite being miles from home, Galicia, they are Malaguistas to the core.

Here’s to a great season, captains!
