The Blue and Whites will play the majority of their Liga Iberdrola matches on this natural turf pitch, which has served as a lucky charm for teams such as Atlético Malagueño and the Juvenil División de Honor.
Málaga CF Femenino now has a new fortress. The ‘Federación Malagueña de Fútbol’ ground will be where Antonio Contreras’ girls will play the majority of their Liga Iberdrola games.
The ‘Federación’ is the home of Atlético Malagueño, where they played numerous promotion playoff fixtures, including when they secured Second Division B promotion. In addition, this pitch has been a talisman for the Juvenil División de Honor team.
With capacity for 1,200 fans, the ‘Federación’ was remodelled two years ago and now has new dugouts, an exit for players and referees directly from the dressing room to the field of play, and blue is the dominant colour throughout the stands and facilities. There is also a directors’ box.
As such, the women’s team is moving to the Costa del Sol capital for their upcoming season in the First Division at a first-class ground.
