Dely Valdés’ boys are prepared to defend their Spanish Championship title, achieved last season in Vera (Almería). The XXIII Copa de Campeones will take place in several venues in the Autonomous Community of Galicia, where the Blue and Whites have been since last Friday.
Tomorrow, Monday the competition kicks off with the inaugural match between Málaga CF and FC Barcelona at Baltar Football Ground, located in Portonovo, Pontevedra. The match, kicking off at 10:00, is a knockout game, and there will be no extra time should there be a draw after 90 minutes. In that case, a penalty shoot-out will be held. Television channel, GOL will openly broadcast all matches in full within this tournament.
On arrival, the Malaguistas headed to Norat Spa de O Grove, but this Sunday morning moved to Louxo La Toja hotel, situated a few kilometres away, where they’ll remain until the next round, taking place in the province of Ourense. The team will stay there the night before the first round, as they prepare to defend their Spanish Championship title.
