“As a child I started to follow you. Little by little I fell in love with you. When you play, I will always be by your side…”. This song that stems from the Fondo Sur of La Rosaleda to infect the entire crowd is not an empty melody, it’s a true declaration of love.
We know that feelings are shown with actions not words, but the Malaguista fans prove time and time again their real, deep love for their team.
This is the only way to explain why in Vila-Real, 644 kilometres from Málaga, the Estadio de La Cerámica became a mini La Rosaleda for 500 Blue and White fans. And in the next match at home against FC Cartagena, the available tickets sold out several days before the game. A week later, in one of the longest and most complex trips of the season, another 500 fans chartered seven buses to cover 1,033 km one way and the same number back. More than a full day on the road captured by the phones of the captains of each vehicle; Andrés, David, Carlos, Marina, Salva, José Antonio and Lolo. Thanks to them we can see the most intimate and emotional moments of this journey.
That feeling alone explains why at La Rosaleda we are going to have another capacity crowd. The fans will welcome the team as if it were one of the grand finals of the most elite European competitions. The city is continually flooded with Blue and White shirts and despite the difficulty of the situation, the Malaguistas feel proud. On Monday, at 18:30 against SD Huesca, we will relive this collective madness. This blessed madness of being a Malaguista.
