Genaro Rodríguez Serrano (Gerena, Seville, 1998) ends his contractual relationship with Málaga Club de Fútbol. The player has defended the Blue and White jersey on 88 occasions throughout the three seasons in which he has been part of the Malaguista first team.
The player from Sevilla, who arrived free in mid-August 2021 from CD Mirandés, made his official debut as a Malaguista on matchday 1 of LaLiga SmartBank 21/22, precisely against his former team, Mirandés, on 16th August 2021 at La Rosaleda.
Throughout his three seasons at Martiricos, Genaro has demonstrated his fighting ability, defensive intensity and second line finish - seven goals and one assist. Special mention to the 23/24 season, in which he played a crucial role in midfield, being a key player in the recent promotion to LaLiga Hypermotion, wearing the captain's armband on numerous occasions and being an example for all his teammates.
As well as his sporting impact, Genaro has stood out for his human value, being a faithful representative of the Blue and White Values.
