Femenino reap third consecutive win (0-9)

The Blue and Whites reinforce their impressive league stats with another major win, this time against CD Puerto de la Torre.

Málaga CF Femenino sealed an away win against CD Puerto de la Torre by 9 goals to 0, in the sixth match of Segunda División Femenina Group IV. The Blue and Whites achieved their third victory on the run with goals from Encarni, Sheila, Adriana, Kerlly, Paula, Karina and María R.

Superior on the attack, the Malaguistas approached Puerto de la Torre’s area no sooner had the match got underway, with their intentions culminating in a goal thanks to an individual display by Encarni. The central controlled the ball without any problems, crossed the pitch and reached the area unmarked to go 0-1 up in minute 5.

The narrow dimensions of the pitch suited the Blue and Whites. In minute 13, a masterful assist from Chelsea led directly to a Sheila header who converted the second goal of the game for Antonio Contreras’ team (0-2), appearing comfortable on the field of play. Málaga continued to dominate, and 10 minutes before half-time, Adriana increased the lead to 0-3 thanks to a pass from Sheila.

The narrow pitch continued to be the Blue and Whites’ great ally, and a minute later, Chelsea returned to set up another opportunity for the Malaguista striker, who made it 0-4 without any difficulty. The result remained the same at half-time.

The game resumed and the story didn’t change. Málaga Femenino controlled possession of the ball, and in the 54th minute, Sheila could have increased the lead thanks to a superb assist from Farfán. Contreras made some changes, taking Janira off to give minutes to Kerlly. No sooner had she joined the game, the Ecuadorian recovered a clearance from the Puerto de la Torre keeper to add another goal to the count (0-5, 59’).

Málaga continued to feel comfortable on the pitch, and in minute 65, Paula found the net from a free kick following an action between the Malaguista and Marina that cost the rival player a yellow card (0-6). Puerto de la Torre took a step forward, but their power led to an aggressive action which resulted in a penalty in favour of the Blue and Whites. Paula converted from the penalty spot in 77’, to give the visitors a 0-7 lead.

More changes were made to the Malaguista line-up, with the coach bringing on Noelia, María R. and Karina. The substitutions paid off as a Karina header, thanks to an assist from Paula, made it 0-8 for the Blue and Whites five minutes before the final whistle. Málaga didn’t stop there, and with seconds to go, María R. put the icing on the cake with the final 0-9 result
