Start of a new week with lots of new faces in training

The first team was in training at the Annexe, featuring Alexander González, Benkhemassa, Hicham and homegrown player, Haitam back in action.

Following a day off on Sunday, the Malaguista squad returned to training on Monday at the Annexe. José Alberto kicked off with his first video session at 08:00 at the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room, for over 45 minutes.

Once on the pitch, the team focused on strength training in the first block, followed by tactics and ending with play in reduced spaces.

New faces to today’s session were Alexander González, who re-joined the team after his holidays as he took part in the Copa América with Venezuela; Hicham and Benkhemassa, who were back to work after completing their respective home quarantines; as well as homegrown player Haitam, having overcome the discomfort to his right femoral biceps.

Brandon, with an injury to the left leg, trained in the gym this morning together with the other injured players.

On completion of training, the group received the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. Tomorrow, Tuesday the Malaguistas have an afternoon training session scheduled on the main pitch at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol ground.
