Special memory workshop at La Rosaleda

The Association of Ex-Málaga Footballers has been developing a series of memory workshops, which today took place at La Rosaleda stadium.

A large number of residents from the Ballesol San Carlos residential home visited Martiricos today, for the 8th memory workshop undertaken by Málaga veterans so far this season. Members of the Malaguista association, Fernando Fernández and 'Koke' Contreras acted as masters of ceremonies, on a very special day for the visitors, who got to know every corner of the Blue and Whites’ stadium. The highlight of the workshop was the MCF Museum & Tour, as the guests recalled some of the Club’s historic moments, on what was a very different, enjoyable day.

“It’s been a wonderful visit for them. They had the chance to look around La Rosaleda and see what usually can’t be seen. It’s curious, but they remember things more easily from those days, than more recent Málaga events. We enjoyed a tour of the press room, museum, dressing room tunnel…We hold workshops every Thursday, and the residents are very well, they were really looking forward to coming here”, comments Fernando.

‘Málaga CF Forever’ helps Alzheimer’s sufferers, in particular from Ballesol San Carlos residential home, using football as a tool to interact with patients as part of a social project, supported by the FEAFV (Spanish Federation of Veteran Footballers’ Associations).
