Soft session for the starting-11 in action in Gijón to begin the week

The ‘Malaguista’ first team was in training on this Monday bank holiday at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. The players from yesterday’s match in Gijón, apart from injured Camacho, underwent a less intense session separately from the group.

The 11 players who took part in the match at El Molinón from kick off, under the instruction of trainer, Enrique Ruiz, underwent a recovery session today at a less intense pace than the rest of the team.  Rosales, Juankar and Recio have slight injury problems, without any cause for concern.  Everyone was in action, including Espinho, but with the absence of Camacho – who after initial tests is suffering with a muscular injury to his left hamstring, and will undergo further tests after a 48 hour period.

On another note, goalkeepers, Ochoa and the reserve team’s Aarón, along with other members of the team who weren’t in action in Asturias, were in training for an hour and a half today.  Under the instruction of fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero, Flávio and Tissone focused on specific work on the pitch, whilst Amrabat and Santa Cruz continued to gradually increase the intensity of their respective recoveries in the gym.  The Moroccan-born striker went running on an anti-gravity treadmill.

Club advisers, Antonio Benítez and Abdallah Ben Barek were present at the first team’s training session today.  Tomorrow, Tuesday, Javi Gracia’s men have a day off.  They will return to training on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
