Shower of goals and the top spot for Málaga Femenino (0-10)

The Malaguistas defeated Daimiel Racing Club in a match in which latest signing Shiv scored her debut goal wearing the Blue and White jersey. This is Málaga Femenino’s ninth consecutive win, to keep them in first place with 46 points.

Málaga CF Femenino defeated Daimiel Racing Club by 0-10 on matchday 17 of Segunda División Nacional Group IV. Antonio Contreras’ girls remain group leaders with 46 points and accumulate nine wins on the bounce.

The Blue and Whites kicked off with a lot of rhythm and dominated the ball. Meri had the first opportunity in minute 2 of play, but it was Sheila who opened the scoring with a cross shot following a pass from María, to take a 0-1 lead. Possession continued to belong to the Blue and Whites, and in minute 8, Sheila increased the lead to 0-2. The striker made the most of a rejection by the Daimiel goalkeeper to put the visitors further in front. Málaga felt very comfortable on the pitch, despite the chilly temperatures, and in 16’, Shiv scored a goal. The new Malaguista winger inaugurated her personal goal account with a header into the back of the net (0-3).

The Malaguistas continued to dominate, with Alba barely having to intervene. However, Málaga’s numerous chances didn’t culminate in another goal until minute 43, when Adriana hooked the ball inside the six-yard box to make it 0-4 at half-time.

No sooner had the second half got underway, María R. increased her team’s lead following a perfectly executed individual play, scoring the 0-5 after 47 minutes. Contreras made some changes, giving minutes to Karina, Kerlly and Paula. The midfielder’s entry onto the pitch, which substituted Raquel, came just after María R. scored the 0-6 with an unstoppable shot from outside the area. Málaga went from strength to strength, and in 73’ Meri converted the 0-7. Just a minute later, the number ‘18’ made it 0-8 on the scoreboard. With less than 10 minutes to go until the final whistle, Karina outwitted goalkeeper, Nadia without any difficulty, to score the 0-9. María Ruiz got the 0-10 just before the end of play.

With this victory, Málaga Femenino confirm their leadership of Segunda División Group IV, accumulating nine consecutive wins.
