Shortly before 11am, VSDA’s team arrived by bus at El Romeral facilities, where the artificial pitch hosted the first training session of the week.
In training under the coach’s orders this morning were homegrown goalkeepers, Gonzalo and Miguel de la Osa; first team players, Juanpi, Boulahroud, Renato Santos, Rolón, Benkhemassa and Lorenzo, the latter on the sidelines with a protective bandage on his left leg; from the reserve team were Hicham, Luis Muñoz, Julio and Juande; juvenil player, Ismael as well as Mula, Iván Rodríguez and José Rodríguez (who is celebrating his 25th birthday today).
In addition, all starting players from the match against Extremadura UD - except Benkhemassa - including Luis Hernández (blow to the right shinbone), underwent preventive training at La Rosaleda. Lombán, Pacheco and Keko continued with their respective recovery processes.
The called-up Blue and White players will begin their journey today from Martiricos to Cantabria, ahead of Tuesday’s first round match of the Copa del Rey 19/20. The rival is UM Escobedo (20:30, Eusebio Arce).
