Second league draw of the season in Badajoz (2-2)

Málaga CF claimed a point away from home against Santa Teresa B on matchday 18 of Primera Nacional Femenina. Judith and Carmen Gómez scored the Malaguista goals in the second draw of the current domestic season.

Ayala selected the following starting line-up: María Arrabal; Olmedo, Ruth ©, Silvia Mérida, Marina, Farfán, María Cortés, Pastora, Clo, Judith and Torralvo. Young homegrown player, Pastora debuted in the starting line-up of a team affected by several casualties.

The locals got off to a determined start at the Eusebio Bejarano ground and took the lead after 32 minutes. At half-time Santa Teresa’s reserve team held on to their narrow advantage, yet in the second half MCFF hit back and turned the score around.

First Judith, who once again showed her excellent form, took the match level in 56’ (1-1). Shortly afterwards, Carmen Gómez, who refreshed the attack coming off the bench, put the visitors 1-2 in front in minute 70 of play. The 10th league goal for the striker from Ojén, the second highest Blue and White scorer after Sonia Torralvo.

However, in the final stretch of the game, the young team from Badajoz went level in 84’ to secure the definitive 2-2 result.

Following a run of seven wins on the bounce, Málaga Femenino claim their second draw this 21/22 league season, accumulating a total of 50 points out of 54. The undisputed tournament leaders will rest next week, as there’s no competition in Primera Nacional.
