The confidence of national team coach, Santi Denia in Ismael was evident for the second day on the run. The versatile right-back from the MCF Academy was part of the starting-11 and played the first half of the match between Spain’s Under-18s and Ukraine. Casas was substituted in 40’ by his teammate, Francisco Javier Estacio.
Spain defeated Ukraine by 2-1, with goals from Malagueño Nils Mortimer (1-0, 22’) and, following the Ukraine equaliser from Litvynenko (1-1, 30’), Marc Tenas scored the winner (2-1, 55’). The day after tomorrow, Thursday 23rd May, Ismael and the Under-18s will be seeking their third victory in Group B of the Slovakia Cup 2019 against the Czech Republic (12:00) to reach the grand final of the tournament.
