The book, entitled: CD Málaga de memoria, vivencias de Paco Cañete niño, adolescente y periodista', (‘CD Málaga by heart, experiences of Paco Cañete the boy, adolescent and journalist’), begins when the author and protagonist was 8 years old, explaining his first experiences at the hand of the Blue and White team, and ending when CD disappeared on 27th July 1992.

Statements by Paco Cañete

“Everything that I’ve experienced in football over 53 years is fairly reflected in this book. They are memories of a child, a boy and a journalist, and every year I tell something I remember. For me La Rosaleda is my second home; I could live without eating, but not without seeing Málaga”.

Statements by Francisco Martín Aguilar

“Paco Cañete is Paco Cañete; I have an enormous affection for him and we have a great friendship. He’s a person who has always acted with total sincerity”.

Statements by Francisco Oblaré

“When they read this book, young people will relive many memories and discover the ins and outs of CD Málaga. I thank and congratulate the sports press association for having given the award for Paco’s career, and of course, the Málaga CF Foundation for all their successes in all the activities they undertake”.

Statements by A.J. López Nieto

“Paco Cañete is a way of life extrapolated to football journalism and Malaguismo”.
