Seba: “We showed that we can win against Madrid, now it’s time to fight for Europe.”
Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Uruguay international forward, Sebastián Fernández, spoke to the media in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium’s press room, moments after the training session.
Seba Fernández’s statements:
(Copa). “The qualifiers are open. But with how the game finished we feel something else - although getting two goals as visitors in that stadium is very important. I’m relaxed about the match that I played and that we played, but not happy about how they upped their game against us.”
“We were convinced that we could win and in the first half we showed that we could, but they also showed that they turn it around.”
(Atlético de Madrid in the League). “This is the good thing about football: now we have the opportunity to leave behind last night’s game for a match in another championship, a League one, and against a very important rival for those European positions and I hope that we can win at home.”
(Simeone). “He’s a new trainer, there’s a new way of guiding the team and a change of manager always gives renewed strength to everyone and you give it more focus. There’s a big morale boost, but we’re feeling very good and we hope to win.”
(Playing at La Rosaleda). “The fans are always there, it’s something we take for granted and hopefully we can get a 10 out of 10.”
