Seamless win at the Fernando Torres (0-2)

Victory for Málaga CF against CF Fuenlabrada with goals from Yanis Rahmani (36’) and Ramón (85’). Pellicer’s men played a great match that they dominated from start to finish.

The Blue and Whites headed to Madrid for matchday 16 of LaLiga SmartBank. The Fernando Torres Stadium, that hosted the game, is the Malaguistas' alternative ground should the health alert intensify within the region of Andalucía.

Málaga CF took the initiative from the outset. Pellicer’s men dominated the ball, controlled the pace of play and enjoyed the clearest opportunities. Yanis Rahmani came close to going 0-1 up in minute 8 of play. The winger’s attempt following a one-on-one was cleared by former Malaguista, Pol Freixanet.

However, the Malaguistas opened the scoring after a series of dangerous approaches. A precise header into goal from Yanis following a Joaquín Muñoz delivery put the Blue and Whites in front – wearing yellow this evening (1-0, min 36).

After the goal, the visitors kidnapped the ball and barely gave the home side a chance. At half-time the scoreboard showed 0-1.

The second half kicked off in much the same way as the first. The Malaguistas owned the ball and maintained control. Yanis and Jozabed once again had another great double opportunity in 50’, but the keeper impeded Rahmani’s first shot and the Blue and White number ‘19’s attempt went wide.

Fuenlabrada tried to make the most of their possessions to get closer to Juan Soriano’s goal, but the good work shown by the keeper and his teammates in defence prevented the locals’ attempts.

Ramón sealed victory in 85’. The young homegrown player gained possession inside the area to score the second goal (0-2).

At the referee’s final whistle, Málaga CF claimed three points from a stadium where no visitors had won up to now.
