Santa Cruz is happy with the team’s performance and the end result: “We’re all very pleased with this win, I’m happy I scored and with my performance overall.  We saw the Málaga CF we all wanted to see, with a high level of intensity, moving quickly around the pitch and controlling the ball well.  I’m delighted with our performance as a team tonight.”
 
Tonight’s other goal-scorer, Sergi Darder, still wants more: “This was an important victory for us, and our place in the First Division is almost secure.  However we still haven’t achieved permanency mathematically, but winning tonight was crucial.  I was fortunate to score a goal and support the team, but it’s important that we continue performing at this level and win the rest of our matches this season.”
 
Lastly, Angeleri adds: “Apart from the result, which is clearly very important, the way in which we played tonight was much improved.  We needed to play well and make sure we had a home win.  Our determination and ambition really shone on the pitch tonight.  We’re all really pleased with our performance.”
