Sandro, the Malaguista revolver

The Blue and Whites’ striker scored his first double in LaLiga last Tuesday against Granada. He is the team’s ‘pichichi’ with 12 goals in domestic competition. Nine of his goals have been in matches which Málaga went on to win.

Clean your revolver with moderation; select the best bullet to place in the chamber, and, rapidly, fix your eyes on the target. Aim with precision and accuracy before pulling the trigger and launching the missile on its prey. This is how Sandro Ramírez works, without contemplation.

The Malaguista goal-scorer again demonstrated his ease to locate the target at Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium. He scored another two goals to add to his collection, totalling 12 out of 26 matches (plus two goals against Córdoba in the Copa del Rey). Nine of his goals have led to Málaga CF defeating their rival. When Sandro scores, victory is almost certain.

In addition, the number ‘19’ has scored five of his team’s last seven goals, and is the second national striker with the most goals in a First Division League with Málaga CF. Sandro is, along with Griezmann, the player who has netted the most goals (5) from outside the area this season, only surpassed by Messi.

There are four matches remaining in LaLiga for the striker to continue increasing his numbers. On Monday, Málaga will face Sevilla FC, and Sandro already knows how it feels to score against this rival. Will he do it again?
