San Estanislao closes the 2015/16 Blue and Whites’ Values campaign
The MCF Foundation chose the school located in El Palo to end the second season of the campaign that spreads values related to sport.
Málaga CF, via its Foundation, and in collaboration with ‘la Caixa’ Social Project, has carried out the second season of the Blue and Whites’ campaign during the current school year (2015/16).
Both entities have worked together to convey values related to sport to Málaga school children, such as nutrition, friendship and caring for the environment, amongst others.
A total of 15 schools have taken part in the initiative: La Asunción school, Cooperativa de Enseñanza Gibraljaire, CEIP Salvador Allende, CEIP Cristo de Mena, CEIP Hans Christian Andersen, CEIP Virgen de Belén, CEIP Las Flores, CEIP Manuel Fernández, CEIP Cayetano Bolívar, CEIP Los Ángeles, IES Cerro del Viento, CEIP Pintor Denis Belgrano, CEIP María Zambrano, CEIP Giner de los Ríos and San Estanislao de Kostka school, reaching some 7,500 boys and girls via talks and publications.
Various first team players from Málaga CF and Atlético Málaga have visited these schools and interacted with the students to serve as an example.
As a final touch, the MCF Foundation closed this season at San Estanislao de Kostka school, where Recio, a former pupil of this school, accompanied Atlético Málaga players, Chelsea and Yamila. Club advisers, Abdallah Ben Barek and Francisco Martín Aguilar were also in attendance, as well as member of MCF Foundation’s Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes, Basti, and the regional director of Institutional Banking at CaixaBank,Joaquín Ramírez.
Some 500 students bid farewell to the Blue and Whites’ Values campaign on Wednesday, which has now completed its second consecutive year.
